Background
Lee and Sandy served as missionaries in Kenya with
Youth for Christ since 2001. They were part of a leadership team
training regional leaders in six African countries and cross-cultural
teams for ministry until they were retired in July of 2006. Lee and
Sandy believed that the Lord could still use them in Africa since doors
continued to open allowing even more opportunities for ministry.
After much prayer and counsel, Lee and Sandy have decided to stay in
Africa to serve as Missionaries at Large with Ripe for Harvest. Their
ministry will include prayer ministries, a house group ministry,
marriage seminars, and outreach to men, women and youth and consulting
with organizations that train pastors and church planters.
Family
Lee and
Sandy have five children, three of whom are married and have families:
Patricia, LeAnn, Stephen (and Tammy), Sharon (and Kip) Childers, and
Sarah (and Victor) Kabutha. Sarah and Victor, along with daughter
Victoria, are currently also serving with YFC in Kenya.
