Important Chapel Annoucement
Date: Wednesday, March 18, 2020
The Chapel Elders met on Tuesday evening on a virtual meeting. We have been seeking the Lord's wisdom on how best to gather and serve during this Coronavirus crises. We want to honor our government, follow the recommendations of Pastor Dale and other medical professionals and still find ways to be God's people together. We made the following decisions we want to share with you.
The Elders will be having a virtual meeting every Tuesday during this crisis for prayer, updates and decision making. We will continue to monitor the situation and share on Wednesdays our concerns and steps going forward.
All public gatherings and ministry events are canceled for the next four (4) weeks.
- All AM Gatherings will be streamed at 10:00am.
- PM Gatherings will be streamed beginning April 19th at 6:00pm.
- Flocks Gatherings can be virtual at the discretion of the Flock Elder.
Unless there is a significant change, we will not be restarting ABE and Children's Ministries until June with the possibility of waiting until September.
When we begin meeting again, we may start first gathering as Flocks depending on the advice, counsel and recommendations we receive.
The Campus is closed for any event or group until May 1st.
Requests for future building use will be as follows: (1) No requests accepted to schedule an event before June; (2) Any event scheduled for between June and September will be tentative.
Office will be staffed from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm each day. Please observe social distance if you come to the office. Our office staff and staff elders will be working remotely.
Pastor Russ is home and so far, well except for the usual Miami Valley crud stuff.
The elders will be more intentional in shepherding you and in people care. We encourage you to keep resting in our sovereign, wise and good God who brings these situations for our individual and corporate good.
Finally, we plan to change the format of the Chapel Weekly to make it simpler and easier to read on any email or browser. We will sent this instead of a bulletin. It will be repetitious but will remind you of how to maintain our basic life together.
What can you do? Stay in touch through all the digital means we have. Love one another. Encourage one another. Be patient with one another. Give attention to needs in your flock and your neighbors. Believe and desire to show that Christ is sovereign and supreme over every aspect of life. This is an opportunity to reject selfishness, complaining, demanding and embrace sacrifice, giving and gratitude. Use difficulty and hardship as a means for growth towards maturity.
And most of all, pray for one another. Pray for your elders. Pray for our local, state and national leaders. Pray for relief from this pandemic. Pray for sustaining grace for God's people through it.
With grace from God and love for you,
The Elders of Clearcreek Chapel
